Do you pay for VIP or will you work your way to becoming one?

I've been thinking about New Years resolutions and have thought about the wishes we make and what it means to truly "elevate" oneself. Maybe I will change my mind or someone will come and tell me something that will make me think differently but I do think that people need to get out of their dream world.

Too many people live in a dream. Aspiration is great but when you live in the aspiration it's hard to see the reality of your situation and how to make the dream a new reality.

I am of the "appreciate now" school of thought. Only when you see the reality of the situation can you devise ways of making it better.

I love to daydream; my car, my house, my designer wardrobe but what constitutes riches is a relative concept. Some will deem what I currently have as riches. I am truly thankful for everything I have now and work hard to make progress. I will never "elevate" at the expense of missing that which I've been blessed with today. The harder days where I skipped meals because of lack of money both taught me lessons and built resilience in me that I will need as an entrepreneur.

Today people live in a dream world. They want what they cannot afford and get into debt. The want to be slim and risk their lives in unlicensed surgery instead of looking to change eating habits. They want to be rich but cannot work and turn to crime instead. Some are sick but don't wait to be fully recovered. Some want love but instead of getting fully ready for that reality or working on something real with a mutual partner they rush to create a dream with a non mutual person or when they're not ready which inevitably leads to tears. We are in a generation where people will pay double to be a VIP when a real VIP does not pay. A VIP is a friend, a celebrity, family, someone who has been invited. I will happily pay the going price for something but I question a VIP offer. I would seek to become the VIP not pay for a dream.

I am of the school of thought that we must learn every lesson that will move us forward. I am not the same as I was yesterday and hope to be better tomorrow. I am truly thankful for everyday, everything and all I have and am and welcome the realisation of the dreams that come to fruition
